Otter Tail reports Q2 adjusted EPS 47c, consensus 47c
Reports Q2 revenue $226.3M, consensus $224.8M. "Our operating companies turned in another quarter of improved results with diluted earnings per share from continuing operations up $0.05, or 12 percent over last year's second quarter," said Otter Tail Corporation President and CEO Chuck MacFarlane. "All operating segments improved net income quarter over quarter. Favorable weather across our service area and interim rates in North Dakota positively impacted our Electric segment net earnings. Our Plastics segment had increased earnings driven by stronger operating margins. And, our Manufacturing segment experienced increased revenues and earnings growth. Lower tax rates under 2017 tax reform legislation also contributed to increased earnings in both the Plastics and Manufacturing segments.
