WWE Q2 has upside potential, says MKM Partners
MKM Partners analyst Eric Handler kept his Buy rating and $95 price target on WWE ahead of its Q2 earnings, saying that despite the great year for its stock price, there is further upside potential. Handler notes that the outperformance "would likely be driven by contributions from proceeds associated with The Greatest Royal Rumble, which was held in Saudi Arabia on April 27th". The analyst also states that the premium on WWE is "merited given the unique nature of this independent, content play and the high level of earnings visibility over the next 5-6 years."

WWE price target raised to $100 from $80 at Needham
Needham analyst Laura Martin raised her price target on WWE to $100 and kept her Buy rating, citing the valuation upside coming from "subscriber revenue and linear TV fee growth outside the U.S." The analyst notes that the viewing trend shifts toward the internet "over-the-top" format on connected TVs and smartphones is benefiting the company, as its premium video content targets those devices. Martin adds that with "millions of wrestling fans creating short form content and sharing it with their friends globally", WWE can drive incremental ad revenue from those posts without any additional content costs.

Bazinet, however, ascribes a lower multiple to WWE as Formula One's licensing renewal cycle still lies ahead. He keeps a Neutral rating on the shares.

Disney licensing deal 'a big win for Zynga,' says Benchmark
Benchmark analyst Mike Hickey believes the Star Wars license with Disney (DIS) announced last night is a "big win" for Zynga (ZNGA), as it offers a more obvious path toward bookings growth and continued margin expansion. In a research note to investors, Hickey, who has a Buy rating and $5 price target on Zynga shares, says he sees around $100M in bookings growth in 2019, a combination of an estimated $40M from recent GG acquisition, continued growth from portfolio of live services and new game launches. The analyst also says he believes Zynga has regained market credibility via the Disney deal, signalling it is a trusted partner, and expects Zynga has the potential for other licensing deals.

Star Wars license adds some out-year visibility to Zynga, says Baird
Baird analyst Colin Sebastian believes the Star Wars license announced last night adds some visibility to Zynga's (ZNGA) out-year growth targets. The new Disney (DIS) license is a positive development for Zynga for the longer-term given the popularity of the Star Wars franchise, Sebastian tells investors in a research note. The analyst believes the deal the adds the potential for incremental live services revenues and further diversifies Zynga's game portfolio. That said, he does not expect a material contribution from new titles until 2020. As such, Sebastian keeps a Neutral rating on Zynga shares with a $4 price target. The stock in premarket trading is up 7.5%, or 28c, to $4.02.

Fly Intel: Today's top analyst calls on Wall Street

The analyst said the recent selloff in shares is overdone and maintained a $45 price target. Systemax shares are up 10.2% in morning trading. PIPER CUTS STARBUCKS TO NEUTRAL: Piper Jaffray analyst Nicole Miller Regan downgraded Starbucks (SBUX) last night to Neutral from Overweight and lowered her price target for the shares to $53 from $60. The motivation for the downgrade was another month of U.S. checks that suggested a lack of comp performance, Miller Regan said. The analyst believes shares of Starbucks will be "range bound at best" until U.S. trends improve. She sees issues around "inconsistent results, credibility of guidance, and management transitions." Miller Regan thinks the stock has "modest downside risk." MKM BOOSTS NETFLIX TARGET TO $395: MKM Partners analyst Rob Sanderson raised his price target for Netflix (NFLX) to $395 from $390 and kept a Buy rating on the shares after updating his estimates. The analyst said his "previous caution" on the shares is "now reversed" following the recent stock price correction. His subscriber ramp expectations are "somewhat lower" in the near-to-medium term but remain unchanged in the long-term. Netflix will approach full penetration of the U.S. over time, growing to 90M subscribers by 2025, Sanderson said. He continues to see over $40 per share in earnings power at 90M U.S. and 300M international subscribers, which he projected in the 2025 timeframe. Expectations for Netflix became "somewhat elevated, but have been appropriately moderated," Sanderson contended. He called the stock a "must-own for growth managers." BAIRD SAYS STAR WARS LICENSE ADDS VISIBILITY FOR ZYNGA: Baird analyst Colin Sebastian believes the Star Wars license announced adds some visibility to Zynga's (ZNGA) out-year growth targets. The new Disney (DIS) license is a positive development for Zynga for the longer-term given the popularity of the Star Wars franchise, Sebastian said. That said, he does not expect a material contribution from new titles until 2020. As such, Sebastian kept a Neutral rating on Zynga shares. Znga shares are up 7.6% in late morning trading. PIPER SAYS FACEBOOK USERS 'UNFAZED' BY ISSUES: Piper Jaffray analyst Michael Olson said his firm's survey of 1,300 Facebook (FB) and Instagram users leaves him confident that "most are unfazed by the negative news flow." The analyst kept an Overweight rating on Facebook shares with a $200 price target.

HP Enterprise downgraded to Market Perform on balanced risk/reward at Bernstein
As previously reported, Bernstein analyst A.M. Sacconaghi, Jr. downgraded HP Enterprise to Market Perform from Outperform and lowered his price target on the shares to $18 from $20. Despite a robust IT spending environment, the analyst does not see upside to near-term expectations, given tough comparisons, continuing share losses in servers, a headwind from currency, an expected higher tax rate, and lower other income. Longer-term, Sacconaghi remains skeptical about whether HP Enterprise can sustainably grow revenues, given that the company remains an on-premise player in an increasingly off-premise world and has been a persistent share loser in servers, its most important business.

KeyBanc sees plenty of room for both Amazon, Roku given TV advertising TAM size
KeyBanc analyst Evan Wingren notes The Information has reported that Amazon's (AMZN) IMBD subsidiary is working on a free, ad-supported streaming service, which sounds similar to what Roku (ROKU) is doing with The Roku Channel. The analyst says he has long expected this to be part of Amazon's advertising strategy and that it would be announced at some point. Given the size of the TV advertising TAM that has not yet transitioned to streaming, Wingren sees "plenty of room for both companies to operate this strategy" for the foreseeable future and be successful. Overall, the analyst believes Amazon has the potential to create a very compelling value proposition to advertisers with good execution.

Fly Intel: Today's top analyst calls on Wall Street
Check out today's top analyst calls from around Wall Street, compiled by The Fly. ROSENBLATT BOOSTS AMD PRICE TARGET TO STREET HIGH: Rosenblatt analyst Hans Mosesmann raised his price target for AMD (AMD) shares to $30 from $27. Mosesmann's new price target represents the high among Wall Street sell-side analysts. Following the meetings, Mosesmann has renewed conviction in AMD's multi-year double digit growth profile. Further, he's impressed by the analysis investors are doing in the name after years of disregard. AMD is up 4.1% in late morning trading. CANTOR CUTS AETNA TO NEUTRAL: Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Steven Halper downgraded Aetna (AET) to Neutral from Overweight with a price target of $202. The stock now trades at just a 4.6% discount to the implied CVS Health (CVS) acquisition value of about $207 per share, Halper said. He believes the narrowed deal spread reflects an increased likelihood of regulatory approval. Halper cites limited potential upside for his downgrade of Aetna to Neutral. NIELSEN UPGRADED TO NEUTRAL AT GOLDMAN: Goldman Sachs analyst George Tong upgraded Nielsen Holdings (NLSN) to Neutral and raised his price target for the shares to $25 from $20. With activist Elliott Management pushing for a sale and increased deal activity in the Information Services sector, Tong sees increased likelihood of Nielsen being involved in a transaction. His upgrade to Neutral and price target increase come after the analyst incorporated a potential takeover into his model. Nielsen is up 3.3% in late morning trading. IMPERIAL SEES SUBSCRIBER UPSIDE FOR NETFLIX: Imperial Capital analyst David Miller believes Netflix's (NFLX) experiment with ending billing through Apple's (AAPL) app store in 33 countries outside the U.S. likely implies upside to its Q3 international subscriber guidance. The analyst said he has a tough time believing that Netflix would "experiment" with billing infrastructure mid-quarter if it did not believe that its international subscriber levels were trending ahead of guidance. As such, Miller raised his Q3 international subscriber estimate to 4.46M from 4.35M. He kept an Outperform rating on Netflix with a $494 price target. AMD shares 'more fully valued than cheap,' says Credit Suisse
While the transition to TSMC (TSM) for all 7nm products is a positive for AMD (AMD) given TSMC's "successful record of leading-edge manufacturing," AMD does not expect the transition to impact its long-term financial model, Credit Suisse analyst John Pitzer told investors last night in a research note. Further, the transition could have a dampening near-term financial impact as AMD has pre-negotiated annual purchase targets with GF thru 2020 that requires AMD to make quarterly payments based on the volume of wafers purchased from other foundries, the analyst adds. He notes that the departure of Jim Anderson, who is leaving AMD to become the CEO of Lattice Semiconductor (LSCC), is the latest executive departure at the company. While AMD's intellectual property is "extremely valuable" and investors continue to underestimate accelerating compute demand across all architectures, the stock appears "more fully valued than cheap" at current levels, Pitzer writes. The analyst maintains a Neutral rating on AMD with a $13.50 price target. The chipmaker in early trading is up 41c to $25.67.

Alphabet price target raised to $1,515 from $1,325 at Morgan Stanley
Morgan Stanley analyst Brian Nowak raised his price target on shares of Alphabet to $1,515 from $1,325 citing the continued strong fundamentals in its core Google business as well as the growing visibility into its Waymo business. Nowak believes the current valuation of Alphabet ascribes little value for Waymo, but he also thinks the launch of Waymo's ride-hailing service by year-end can be a catalyst to realize that value. He currently values Waymo at $45B, or about $60 per Alphabet share, but notes this is only 25% of the $175B potential value he ascribes to the business. Nowak, who raised his 2018 and 2019 adjusted EBITDA estimates by 2%, keeps an Overweight rating on Alphabet shares.

BOFA CUTS ZILLOW TO NEUTRAL: BofA Merrill Lynch analyst Nat Schindler downgraded Zillow (Z, ZG) to Neutral from Buy and cut its price target to $60 from $70 following the Q2 report and reduction in guidance. Schindler said the quarter indicated Zillow is taking longer than expected to ramp up the Homes business, Rentals revenue missed and the outlook was cut, and other revenue also missed, indicating the new construction opportunity is also taking longer to materialize. Zillow Class A shares are down about 17% in late morning trading. MORGAN STANLEY SAYS WAYMO COULD BE WORTH $175B: Morgan Stanley analyst Brian Nowak increased his enterprise value estimate for Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Waymo unit from $75B for ride sharing only to $175B given his analyses for two other emerging business models, logistics and licensing. He believes Waymo remains on track to launch an autonomous ride hailing service in Phoenix this year and believes this business could be worth about $80B over the long-term. Given his view of Waymo being a key part of Alphabet's long-term value, Nowak raised his sum of the parts valuation to $1,550 from $1,400. He has an Overweight rating and $1,325 price target on Alphabet shares. GOLDMAN RAISES NVIDIA TARGET AHEAD OF EARNINGS: Goldman Sachs analyst Toshiya Hari raised his price target for Nvidia (NVDA) to $324 from $310 ahead of quarterly results. Unlike the past 10 quarters where the company handily beat Street estimates and raised guidance, the analyst expects a "noisy" quarter with the focal points being the upcoming product transition in Gaming, the current product transition in Datacenter, weakness in cryptocurrency mining, and potential disruption from the virus attack at TSMC (TSM). That said, Hari noted that his long-term bull thesis on Nvidia remains intact and reiterated a Buy rating on the shares. ARGUS CUTS CBS TO HOLD: Argus analyst Joseph Bonner downgraded CBS (CBS) to Hold from Buy, noting significant downside risks for the company from both the sexual harassment allegations against CEO Moonves and the board's attempts to prevent the Viacom (VIA, VIAB) merger. Bonner noted that if the Moonves allegations are proven true, he would be immediately dismissed, which could end the board's bid to remain independent and thereby inflict damage on the shareholders.

RBC Capital revisits idea of Celgene going private after Tesla proposal
Following yesterday's news that Tesla (TSLA) CEO Elon Musk would like to see his company go private, RBC analyst Brian Abrahams revisited his prior analysis of whether Celgene (CELG) should go private in order to better capture the medium-term value of future Revlimid cash flows not being appreciated by public markets and avoid volatility as it transitions to a post-Revlimid business model. Though acknowledging that the two companies are in completely different industries, he thinks the example of Musk shows that performing such a transaction on a large company "may not be completely unrealistic," Abrahams said. Such an LBO, or perhaps more likely an acquisition by a larger pharmaceutical company, could possibly help capture more value from Celgene's commercial and pipeline products, concludes Abrahams, who has an Outperform rating and $110 price target on Celgene shares.

MONNESS CRESPI UPGRADES CHILDREN'S PLACE TO BUY: Monness Crespi upgraded Children's Place (PLCE) to Buy from Neutral with a $165 price target. Analyst Jim Chartier said the modest sell-off in shares following strong Q2 results provides a buying opportunity. The analyst believes Q3 guidance is conservative given positive LDD comp sales to date, and declining investment that provides good visibility into 20%+ earnings growth over the next two years. Children's Place is up 2.2% in late morning trading. MORGAN STANLEY CUTS L BRANDS TO EW: Morgan Stanley analyst Kimberly Greenberger downgraded L Brands (LB) to Equal Weight from Overweight and lowered her price target to $32 from $56, telling investors the Victoria's Secret turnaround is taking longer than anticipated and she now sees greater risk to 2019 estimates. Greenberger added that L Brands is a "wait and see" stock and she struggles to identify a catalyst to take shares higher despite an compelling valuation and she is moving to the sidelines. L Brands is trading down 2.3% in late morning trading. BAIRD RAISES PAYPAL TARGET TO $99: Baird analyst Colin Sebastian raised his price target for PayPal (PYPL) to $99 from $96 to reflect a favorable view of Venmo's monetization opportunity. He believes Venmo is on track to become a billion-dollar business. Sebastian says that while Venmo may not fully replace the lost contribution profit from eBay (EBAY), investors are likely to put a premium on Venmo-generated incremental revenues. Sebastian kept an Outperform rating on the shares. ALIBABA PRICE TARGET CUT AT MULTIPLE FIRMS: KeyBanc analyst Hans Chung maintained an Overweight rating on Alibaba (BABA) and cut his price target to $220 from $235. Nomura Instinet analyst Jialong Shi lowered his price target for Alibaba to $224 from $231 following the company's Q1 results, but kept a Buy rating on the shares. Argus analyst Jim Kelleher lowered his price target on Alibaba to $235 from $275 after its Q1 earnings miss, but kept his Buy rating on the stock. SunTrust analyst Youssef Squali lowered his price target on Alibaba to $205 from $215, and Jefferies analyst Karen Chan lowered her price target for Alibaba to $225 from $242.

Jefferies says PayPal more than just Venmo, ups price target to $110
Jefferies analyst John Hecht raised his price target for PayPal Holdings (PYPL) to $110 from $100 saying the company's growth story is more than just Venmo. The stock closed yesterday up 64c to $90.61. While Venmo is an important growth driver, PayPal's core person-to-person business and mobile trends, which have been "impressive," should be followed more closely alongside the Venmo success, Hecht tells investors in a research note. The analyst's updated analysis supports his belief that the eBay (EBAY) migration should be "very manageable" for PayPal. Further, his analysis of app downloads shows PayPal platforms "remain competitive." Hecht reiterates a Buy rating on the shares.

Square Cash App surpassed PayPal's Venmo for first time in July, says Nomura
Nomura Instinet analyst Dan Dolev raised his price target for Square (SQ) to $86 from $82 after his firm's July payments app tracker showed cumulative Square Cash App downloads surpassed PayPal's (PYPL) Venmo for the first time. Cash App downloads in July of 33.5M marked the highest monthly addition on record, Dolev tells investors in a research note. The analyst says the Square Cash App is growing three times faster than Venmo. He keeps a Buy rating on Square shares.

Baird raises PayPal price target to $99 on favorable Venmo outlook
Baird analyst Colin Sebastian raised his price target for PayPal (PYPL) to $99 from $96 to reflect a favorable view of Venmo's monetization opportunity. The shares closed yesterday up 43c to $87.38. A survey of 1,500 Internet users spotlights PayPal as the "clear and dominant digital wallet," and serves as a positive leading indicator for "Pay with Venmo" adoption, Sebastian tells investors in a research note titled "Beyond the Pizza Emoji: Assessing Venmo's Profit Potential." He believes Venmo may be approaching native wallet levels like Apple's (AAPL) ApplePay. While still early, PayPal's dual-brand strategy could reasonably contribute $150M-$300M incrementally to 2021 operating profit and potentially more, Sebastian contends. He believes Venmo is on track to become a billion-dollar business. Sebastian says that while Venmo may not fully replace the lost contribution profit from eBay (EBAY), investors are likely to put a premium on Venmo-generated incremental revenues. The analyst envisions Vevmo generating $2.5B in revenue and $1.3B in EBITDA by 2025. Sebastian upped his 2020 earnings per share estimate for PayPal to $3.36 from $3.20 and keeps an Outperform rating on the shares.
