Citi places 'Negative Catalyst Watch' on Check Point Software
Citi analyst Walter Pritchard put Check Point Software on his firm's "Negative Catalyst Watch" list citing concerns about disruption to its sales organization. Check Point change in sales leadership an incremental negative, says JPMorgan
After Checkpoint announced Dan Yerushalmi will be its new head of worldwide sales and strategy, replacing Pierre-Paul Allard, JPMorgan analyst Sterling Auty called the news of the change an incremental negative, noting that incoming sales leaders frequently make changes that require three quarters to start paying full benefits. Auty maintains his Neutral rating on Check Point shares.

Piper Jaffray analyst Andrew Nowinski raised his price target for Palo Alto Networks (PANW) to $250 saying the company last night reported strong Q4 results, exceeding the high-end of guidance by 3.6%. The analyst believes Palo Alto continues to "leverage the power of the platform," taking market share from both Cisco Systems (CSCO) and Check Point (CHKP). Nowinski thinks Palo Alto "still has a significant opportunity" for further share gains and he keeps an Overweight rating on the name.
