Snap downgraded to Underweight from Neutral at JPMorgan
JPMorgan analyst Doug Anmuth downgraded Snap (SNAP) to Underweight from Neutral and halved his price target for the shares to $6 from $12. The camera company in premarket trading is down 13%, or 89c, to $6.10. The company last night reported better revenue but its daily active user declines continue, Anmuth tells investors in a post-earnings research note. Daily active users declined sequentially for a second straight quarter, and management guided for further decline in Q4, the analyst points out. He believes it will be challenging for Snap to pull users away from Facebook's (FB) Instagram. Further, it also remains to be seen if the new Android application will deliver a superior user experience, says Anmuth. He expects Facebook and Instagram, with much larger user advertiser bases, "will continue to attract incremental ad dollars in the social media space, making it difficult for Snap to gain meaningful market share."

Snap price target lowered to $8 from $16 at RBC Capital
RBC Capital analyst Mark Mahaney lowered his price target on Snap to $8 after its Q3 results, saying that while revenue and EBITDA were better than he expected, the near term outlook anticipating further daily active user declines was a "material negative". Longer term, the analyst maintains his Outperform rating citing some "positive monetization trends" of growing global average revenue per user and a 278% rise in ad impressions against a 61% decline in pricing.

Snap price target lowered to $8 from $11 at Jefferies
In a post-earnings research note titled "Blurry Picture," Jefferies analyst Brent Thill lowered his price target for Snap to $8 from $11 and keeps a Hold rating on the shares. While Snap beat its first ever guidance range on both the top and the bottom line in Q3, investor focus is on the continued loss of users, Thill writes. He prefers to remain on the sidelines pending the return of user growth.

Twitter successfully climbing 'wall of worry,' says UBS
UBS analyst Eric Sheridan said Twitter's Q3 report showed very strong ad revenue trends with material quarter-over-quarter ad business growth, stable trends off a strong base in Japan, and continued progress in video. The analyst said the company climbed almost every "wall of worry" of investors concerns and he believes they can outperform over the next 12 months. Sheridan reiterated his Buy rating and $44 price target on Twitter shares.

MKM Partners lowers price targets on Alphabet and Facebook
MKM Partners analyst Rob Sanderson lowers his price target on Alphabet (GOOGL) to $1,365 from $1,465 and on Facebook (FB) to $190 from $230 as part of his broader research note for the Internet Applications and Media sector. The analyst states that both of these stocks have been underperforming the Nasdaq on 1-month, 3-month, and year-to-date basis, but believes that Alphabet's underperformance has more to do with a rotation away from growth given its "remarkably consistent" performance and its expected moderating traffic acquisition rate costs. Sanderson says that while Facebook stock is the "furthest from its intrinsic value", it continues to face a "challenging event path with engagement shift toward lower monetizing apps" and the expected cost increase to build greater "safety and security competencies". He also believes that Facebook business model will normalize at "much lower profit margin" because of these added costs. The analyst keeps Alphabet and Facebook ratings at Buy. As part of his research note, Sanderson also maintains a Buy rating on Twitter (TWTR) with a price target of $43. The analyst contends that the company has "compelling upside potential as monetization catches up to engagement growth", with added optionality coming from potential "service breaks-through to the mass market."

Jefferies pegs potential value of Amazon Web Services at $350B
The momentum of Amazon Web Services is evident with three days still left in the annual re:Invent Cloud conference, Jefferies analyst Brent Thill tells investors in a research note. Enterprise customers are making bigger commitments earlier with AWS, increasing partner deal sizes 3.5 times, says the analyst. He forecasts AWS revenue to hit $71B by 2020, potentially worth $350B versus Amazon's current market capitalization of $800B. Thill believes AWA is competing well against Oracle (ORCL) and Microsoft (MSFT). The analyst keeps a Buy rating on Amazon with a $2,300 price target.

KeyBanc sees Amazon entry having little near-term impact on HCIT space
The announcement that Amazon.com (AMZN) is developing Software-as-a-Service analytical tools for the U.S. healthcare industry called Amazon Comprehend Medical will likely bring a "lot of noise, but little real, near-term financial impact" to the publicly traded Healthcare Technology and Services space, KeyBanc analyst Donald Hooker tells investors in a research note. He believes companies potentially most relevant to Amazon's announcement include Allscripts Healthcare Solutions (MDRX), Cerner (CERN), Evolent Health (EVH), Inovalon Holdings (INOV), IQVIA Holdings (IQV), Medidata Solutions (MDSO), PRA Health Sciences (PRAH), Premier (PINC), and Teladoc Health (TDOC). Hooker argues that any potential success by mega-tech companies, such as Amazon, to develop useful SaaS analytical tools "could actually empower traditional HCIT and biopharma outsourcing companies." Further, he sees a number of "unique barriers" for "big data" solutions in clinical decision support and population health management.

Wedbush Black Friday checks positive for Consumer Electronics, Turtle Beach
Wedbush Retail analysts led by Michael Pachter say their Black Friday channel checks were positive for Consumer Electronics with Turtle Beach (HEAR) a "stand-out." Fitbit (FIT) and GoPro (GPRO) offered more compelling discounts on new products this year versus last year, which likely drove more unit sales, the analysts write in a research note. Further, they believe Amazon (AMZN) took Smart TV market share as its Fire TV Edition Smart TVs were not available at retail last year. Nonetheless, with more favorable pricing this year across brands and greater breadth of products, Roku TV (ROKU) unit sales were likely higher versus last year, say the analysts. And despite high inventory going into Black Friday, Turtle Beach had low inventory levels with "spotty" sell-outs on Black Friday, they note. The analysts believe this suggests a "very strong uptick" in year-over-year holiday sales for the company.

Facebook path to rebuild credibility 'long and difficult,' says Stifel
Stifel analyst Scott Devitt said the probability of change at the top of Facebook is low, given that Mark Zuckerberg controls the majority of Facebook voting power, but Devitt believes the "campaign trail to rebuild credibility will be long and difficult" following the recent critical articles in The New York Times and Wall Street Journal. Facebook's board and management could accelerate the credibility rebuild by considering making a or changes at the top, which Devitt thinks would be viewed positively "by the vast majority of constituents." The analyst maintains a Buy rating on Facebook shares.

Verily collaboration more favorable to DexCom after revision, says Stephens

Amended Verily agreement 'major win' for DexCom holders, says Piper Jaffray
After talking with management, Piper Jaffray analyst JP McKim believes the amended collaboration and license agreement with Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Verily "seems like a no brainer" and is a "major win for the long term value" of DexCom (DXCM) shareholders. The royalty payments from the original agreement have been eliminated and those would have been at least a 500 basis point headwind on the margin profile of DexCom's business, McKim tells investors in a research note. He expects the company to release some longer term margin targets at its analyst day and says "removing this future headwind is a major win." Further, DexCom is now the preferred continuous glucose monitoring supplier into Onduo's Type 2 diabetes management program, says the analyst. He reiterates an Overweight rating on the shares with a $157 price target.

AWS revenue could double to $56B-plus by 2021, says KeyBanc
KeyBanc analyst Brent Bracelin notes that the annual November trek to Las Vegas for AWS (AMZN) reInvent commences on Tuesday. The analyst believes 2019 could mark the first year AWS adds an incremental $10B within a single year as cloud and digital transformation becomes a mainstream phenomena driving AWS revenue to $35B-plus and operating profits above $10B for the first time. Looking out three years to 2021, Bracelin estimates AWS revenue could double to an estimated $56B-plus from $25B this year. Even at that scale, this would assume AWS might capture just 4% share of a trillion-dollar market leaving ample room for IaaS alternative platforms like Microsoft Azure (MSFT) and Google Cloud (GOOG; GOOGL) to also sustain high-growth at scale, he contends. Bottom line, the analyst believes AWS is likely to remain a bright spot within the broad Amazon product portfolio from both a revenue growth and profitability perspective during a cloud-first era.

Baird suggests M&A targets for Google to boost cloud ambitions
Baird analyst Colin Sebastian said he continues to view Google (GOOGL) as fully capable of addressing the entire public cloud opportunity, but its progress has been a bit slower than he expected, noting that the company is still the number-three player in the cloud platform market. The analyst believes the company should embark on a more aggressive "shopping spree" to improve commercialization and compiled a list of suggestions for compatible and complementary acquisitions that met his criteria to be "game-changing" based on core product/service, enterprise reputations, growth profile, and post-integration potential. The list of Sebastian and Baird software analyst Rob Oliver includes Workday (WDAY), ServiceNow (NOW), Atlassian (TEAM), Salesforce (CRM), Zendesk (ZEN), LogMeIn (LOGM), Tableau (DATA) and Box (BOX), he tells investors in a note titled "Google Should Lead Another Cloud Consolidation Wave."
