DouYu reports Q2 adjusted EPS 28c
Revenues for the second quarter increased by 133.2% to $272.8M. Adjusted diluted net income per ordinary share was RMB1.91, or 28c, for the second quarter of 2019, compared with an adjusted diluted net loss per ordinary share of (RMB 27.25) for the same period of 2018. Average MAUs in the second quarter reached 162.8M, representing an increase of 32.6% from 122.8M in the second quarter of 2018. Quarterly average paying user base in the second quarter reached 6.7M, representing an increase of 123.3% from 3.0M in the second quarter of 2018. Shaojie Chen, CEO of DouYu, commented, "Our second quarter results demonstrated robust growth, as our quarterly average MAUs grew by 32.6%, average mobile MAU by 42.5%, and total net revenues by 133.2% year over year. We are convinced of the growth potential in China's eSports market.
