"Box Office Battle" is The Fly's weekly roundup of what movies topped the weekend's box office.
Christopher Nolan's "Tenet" earned an estimated $3.4M domestically in its fourth weekend as Los Angeles and New York theaters remain closed. Overseas, the AT&T (T) subsidiary Warner Bros.' movie grossed another $15.8M for a worldwide total of $283.2M. "Tenet" sports a B CinemaScore and an 74% Rotten Tomatoes.
BOX OFFICE RUNNERS-UP: 20th Century and Disney's (DIS) "The New Mutants" placed number 2, earning $1.1M in its fifth weekend. Behind it was "Unhinged" with $1M. In celebration of its 40th anniversary the "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back" hit the big screen again, placing number 4 with $908,000 from 2,097 cinemas. Disney is handling the movie, as it now owns 20th Century. Rounding out the top five, "Infidel" grossed an estimated $745,000.
