U.S. Q3 GDP growth was left unrevised at 33.1%

U.S. Q3 GDP growth was left unrevised at 33.1% from the Advance report. Growth has bounced back at an historic pace after cratering at a record -31.4% rate in Q2. Personal consumption was little changed at 40.6% from a 40.7% surge initially, versus the -33.2% Q2 pace. Business fixed investment was revised up to a 21.8% pace versus the prior 20.3% print, and compares to -27.2% in Q2. Exports posted a 60.5% Q3 bounce versus 59.7% previously and from a -64.4% dive in Q2. Imports were revised to a 93.1% rate from 91.1% in the Advance report and compares to a -54.1% Q2 contraction. Government spending was knocked down to -4.9% from -4.5% initially and Q2 2.5% rate of growth. Inventories contributed 6.55% to Q3 growth, versus 6.62% in the Advance data and -3.5% in Q2. The Q3 chain price index was unchanged at the 3.6% rate in the Advance print and -1.8% in Q2. It's at a 1.1% y/y clip. The core price index was steady at 3.5%, as it was in the Advance report -0.8% Q2 pace.
