The S&P 500 is rebounding and is 0.84% firmer at 3,967 amid broadbased gains after five straight days of losses. The index found support from the 3,930 100-day moving average. The NASDAQ is leading the rally, however, up 1.20%, while the Dow is 0.76% higher. But it's been a tough week with the major indexes posting declines of -1.5% to -3.3%. The softening in the claims data, hopes for a soft landing, and expectations the FOMC will be moderating its tightening stance are underpinning the rally, as are signs China is taking further steps to reopen it economy.
