With the Covid relief… With the Covid relief bill expected to pass on Tuesday, investor attention will likely turn to the next big piece of U.S. legislation, an infrastructure bill, Lache tells investors in a research note. Based on discussions with industry contacts, Lache would not be surprised to hear about a "moonshot" for vehicle electrification over the next few weeks, "aimed at shifting the U.S. from laggard to leader." The analyst believes Tesla may be viewed as the largest beneficiaries of U.S. electric vehicle legislation. In addition, Lache believes the Street "may be overlooking a number of emerging opportunities" for Tesla, including semi-autonomous subscriptions, vehicle service and a "burgeoning" insurance business. The analyst now believes that Tesla may reach $40 in earnings per share by 2025. At its historical 20-25 times earnings multiple, Tesla's shares could reach $800-$1000 by late 2024, or around $600-$750 discounted back, says Lache. The analyst keeps a Peer Perform rating on Tesla with a $675 year-end 2021 price target. ShowHide Related Items >><< - $597.45 /

Oppenheimer analyst Jason… Oppenheimer analyst Jason Helfstein has hosted a rousing call with Prohaska Consulting on the impact of Google's (GOOG) announced Chrome policy changes. The analyst notes that policy changes will have most impact on independent SSPs and publishers, with more modest impact on DSPs. Helfstein argues that while the alterations are broadly negative for those reliant on the open web, they are bullish for walled gardens - Facebook (FB)/Google/Twitter (TWTR)/Snap (SNAP)/Amazon (AMZN)/Roku (ROKU) -, which become increasingly attractive to advertisers seeking deeper audience targeting. While Trade Desk's (TTD) UID 2.0 will be blocked in the Google ecosystem, it is unclear if Chrome can block this data if user permission is granted through 3P platforms, he adds. The analyst believes it is too soon to tell the impact ad policy changes will have on e-commerce. ShowHide Related Items >><< - 03/02/21
