Following pressure from… Following pressure from activist group Sleeping Giants, Amazon is prohibiting groups tied to the Oath Keeprs and the Three Percenters militias from its AmazonSmile charity program after members of both groups were arrested for their suspected involvement in the attack at the U.S. Capitol, The Verge's Jay Peters reports. The ecommerce giant has banned a total five groups from its AmazonSmile program in response to pressure from activists, the author says. Reference Link ShowHide Related Items >><< - $3,300.20 /

Amazon has asked an… Amazon has asked an Indian court to bar Future Group's $3.4B deal to sell its retail assets and called for the Indian company's CEO to be detained, Reuters' Aditya Kalra reports, citing a court filing. In Amazon's latest attempt to detail the asset sale to Reliance Industries, the ecommerce giant asked the High Court in New Delhi to enforce the decision of a Singapore arbitrator, the author says. In 2020, the arbitrator issued an interim determination saying Future's agreement with Reliance should be put on hold, the author notes. Reference Link ShowHide Related Items >><< - $3,313.31 /

Morgan Stanley analyst… Morgan Stanley analyst Brian Nowak argues that Alphabet (GOOGL) and Facebook (FB) are the only two "mega-cap" tech companies not trading on some version of a sum-of-the-the parts valuation methodology with Amazon (AMZN), Microsoft (MSFT), Apple (AAPL) and Tesla (TSLA) "all having moved in this direction." However, he also believes the market is getting closer to the "appreciating and realizing" this value at Alphabet and thinks that continued YouTube revenue disclosure and upcoming full Google Cloud segment disclosure should help investors better understand and value Alphabet's underlying drivers. The analyst, who said his updated sum-of-the-parts analysis "speaks to how disclosure could drive Alphabet towards" being valued at $2,800 per share, keeps an Overweight rating and $2,050 price target on the stock.
