Sony Interactive Entertainment (SNE), SIE, will globally halt Facebook (FB) and Instagram activity until the end of July, reports GamesIndusty.biz. "In support of the #StopHateForProfit campaign, we have globally suspended our Facebook and Instagram activity, including advertising and non-paid content, until the end of July. Social media giant Facebook is being accused of systemic discrimination in its hiring, "compensation and promotion of Black people," reports Bloomberg's Joel Rosenblatt. A U.S. Navy veteran, Oscar Veneszee Jr., hired by Facebook in 2017, to recruit other retired U.S armed services personnel, said he filed the complaint with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission "after his objections to Facebook managers over treatment of African Americans went nowhere," added the Bloomberg story. Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, creators of HBO's (T) "Westworld," are partnering to develop a show for Amazon Studios (AMZN) based on Bethesda's "Fallout" video game franchise, Variety's Will Thorne reports. The duo's Kilter Films banner is producing the series which has a commitment penalty attached, meaning it would go directly to series if Amazon executives are on board with the scripts, Throne says.
