Sidus Space (SIDU)…
Sidus Space (SIDU) announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding, or MOU, with Momentus (MNTS) to explore launching its LizzieSat satellites utilizing Momentus' Vigoride Orbital Service Vehicle, or OSV. The MOU also seeks to foster collaboration between the two companies to use their joint capabilities to seek new opportunities together, expanding both firms' reach. Together the firms are discussing undertaking an integrated mission that has characteristics of both a Hosted Payload and Delivery Service. Once in orbit, a Momentus OSV could provide power and data to LizzieSat for deployment, offering mission versatility for customers based on Vigoride's service capabilities in-orbit. Sidus Space is interested in four potential mission launches with Momentus initially. As part of the MOU, the companies will potentially provide and/or source payloads to one another and explore working together on select government solicitations.

Momentus provided its fifth Mission Update on its inaugural Vigoride mission that launched on May 25. Since the Company's last update on August 3, Momentus has successfully deployed an additional payload from its Vigoride orbital transfer vehicle. SelfieSat, a two-unit cubesat developed by Norwegian student space organization Orbit NTNU, was deployed at the end of August. The satellite will be taking a selfie using an external screen and displaying pictures sent by the public while a camera mounted on the SelfieSat arm photographs the screen with the Earth in the background. View a video of the SelfieSat team making contact with its payload here. Momentus initially deployed two FOSSA satellites from its Vigoride orbital transfer vehicle on May 28 and the deployment of four additional FOSSA satellites occurred in July. The Company also deployed one satellite from California State Polytechnic University at Pomona on May 25 from a third-party deployer that flew on a second port of the launch vehicle. A total of eight Momentus customer satellites have now been deployed in low Earth orbit, and two yet-to-be-deployed FOSSA satellites remain on Vigoride. The Company will continue efforts to deploy the remaining payloads. Momentus' plans for additional launches of the Vigoride vehicle remain as stated in the Q1 earnings call on May 10, 2022, with agreements signed with SpaceX for launches on every upcoming Transporter mission through 2023.

Momentus initiated with an Underperform at Evercore ISI » 08:0707/0507/05/22
Evercore ISI analyst…
Evercore ISI analyst James Ratcliffe initiated coverage of Momentus with an Underperform rating and $2 price target. While admitting that Momentus's Vigoride platform could fill a need in "a potentially rapidly growing satellite launch market," Ratcliffe is cautious given that the company's Vigoride spacecraft and MET thruster have not yet been successfully tested in orbit, the company will need significant additional capital by mid-2023 and the demand environment looks "promising," but "remains highly uncertain."

Momentus named short-term buy idea at Deutsche Bank » 07:1405/2305/23/22
Deutsche Bank analyst…
Deutsche Bank analyst Edison Yu placed a "Catalyst Call: Buy" on shares of Momentus as a short-term investment idea. The company is "quickly approaching the most important event" in its history where it will launch its proprietary water-based orbital transfer vehicle into space, Yu tells investors in a research note. The analyst believes the bar for a successful demonstration is low and that most institutional investors have given up on the story. Should Momentus be able to execute on deploying customer payloads and smoothly operating the vehicle in space orbit, the stock could re-rate "materially upward from a depressed level," writes Yu.
