Neonode and Metatechno… Neonode and Metatechno have signed a value-added reseller agreement whereby Metatechno offers the sale of Neonode's touch sensor modules and the associated software development for various contactless touch applications. Kazuhiko Fukushige, President and CEO added, "At Metatechno, we see innovation in new combinations of existing things - technologies, people and methodologies. We recognize that innovation is not always bound by the high hurdle of creating something new from zero, but includes creating new combinations for our customers' benefit. Our philosophy is encapsulated in the term 'New Combination'. We strongly feel that the 'New Combination' that incorporates the Neonode sensor module has great potential."
As reported prior to the… As reported prior to the open, Craig-Hallum analyst Christian Schwab initiated coverage of Neonode with a Buy rating and $12 price target. The ongoing global pandemic has set in motion a trend toward contactless touch technologies that will "continue even once we reach a post-COVID world," Schwab said in his note to investors. Neonode, which "has a great solution" they can both license to customers or sell to customers in a range of pre-built modules, is "in the very early innings" of what could become a "massive" opportunity in market such as self-serve kiosks, vending machines, ATMs and elevators, argues Schwab. While he admits that an investment in Neonode "may be speculative," he thinks the long-term opportunity is "attractive for patient long-term investors," the analyst concluded.
