Citi analyst Mitsunobu Tsuruo downgraded Nippon Telegraph and Telephone to Neutral from Buy with a price target of 2,500 yen, down from 3,300 yen. The deal to make DoCoMo a wholly owned subsidiary is below the cost of capital, Tsuruo tells investors in a research note.

Nippon Telegraph & Telephone (NTTYY) plans to turn NTT Docomo (DCM) into a wholly owned subsidiary via a tender offer expected to be worth around $38B, The Nikkei reports. According to the report, Nippon will look to buy the roughly 34% of outstanding Docomo stock held by other shareholders and will delist the carrier once the transaction is complete. Reference Link
