In this senior leadership role, Daniels will report to Bob Wright, President and CEO of Potbelly. Prior to joining Potbelly, Daniels served as Senior Vice President of Marketing at The Food Hall Co. in Dallas, Texas.

Reports Q2 revenue $97.5M, consensus $99.84M. Q2 SSS was 70.0% vs (3.1%) in Q1; SSS approached 2019 levels, at (-0.7%) vs. 2Q19. CEO Bob Wright commented, "Our performance in Q2 once again exceeded our expectations. Our significant top line growth reflects strengthening of our unit level economics across our portfolio. To be sure, the ongoing strength in the macro-economic environment and the restaurant sector contributed to sales growth." CFO Steve Cirulis concluded, "The solid financial performance we achieved during Q2 including positive EBITDA and Adjusted EBITDA, as well as shop-level profitability, was driven by continued strengthening of our unit level economics with our Suburban and Drive-Thru shops leading the way. Our same-store-sales were up significantly compared to the year ago period and exceeded levels in 2Q19 during the last month of the quarter. Potbelly Corporation announced that it has entered into a definitive securities purchase agreement with existing and new investors to raise approximately $16M. The closing is anticipated to occur on February 12, 2021, subject to customary closing conditions. Potbelly also announced that it has reached an agreement in principle with its lender, JP Morgan, to amend its existing senior secured revolving credit facility. Upon execution of the amendment, Potbelly is expected to have a senior secured revolving credit facility of $25M that matures on January 31, 2023.

In this role, Dixon will serve as in house legal advisor to the Company's executive team and Board of Directors on legal business issues. She will also manage all legal matters across the organization including regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, business transactions, litigation, real estate and franchisee business as well as corporate securities. Dixon joined the executive team at Potbelly on November 16, 2020 as its SVP and Senior Legal Counsel. Dixon succeeds Matthew Revord, former CLO and CPO, who recently left the Company.
