Piper Sandler analyst Kashy Harrison lowered the firm's price target on Sunrun (RUN) to $27 from $30 and keeps a Neutral rating on the shares. Q1 earnings season for the firm's renewable and alternative energy coverage "was a rollercoaster" that included "high profile beats, misses, unexpected capital markets activity, and domestic content guidance," says the firm, which broadly views domestic content guidance positively for the industry. The firm highlights First Solar (FSLR) as a key domestic content guidance beneficiary, but sees the potential for other players to benefit as well.

Truist analyst Jordan Levy lowered the firm's price target on Sunrun to $30 from $35 but keeps a Buy rating on the shares. The decline in the stock following the company's wider than expected Q1 earnings loss is attributable to elevated spending, unchanged growth projections, the lack of other detailed guidance, and the overall rate concerns, the analyst tells investors in a research note. Truist adds however that while it sees a slowdown in California, the company's Q1 sales efforts should carry momentum through the greater part of the second half of the year as activity in non-California regions appears to remain strong.

Deutsche Bank analyst Corinne Blanchard lowered the firm's price target on Sunrun to $26 from $27 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares post the "solid" quarter. Sunrun's net subscriber value will improve sequentially, the analyst tells investors in a research note.

Susquehanna analyst Biju Perincheril lowered the firm's price target on Sunrun to $40 from $42 and keeps a Positive rating on the shares. The analyst said 1Q results were strong with installations +12% y/y and net subscriber value (NSV) beating expectations.
