ViaSat eliminates Ka-band spped limits for in-flight connectivity » 08:1507/0807/08/20
Viasat has removed…
Viasat has removed internet speed limits delivered to the aircraft across all of its business aviation Ka-band service plans. Additionally, the company has doubled its minimum committed internet speed to the aircraft for the same Ka-band service plans. Ka-band customers also have the option to subscribe to Viasat Unlimited Streaming, which allows passengers to access online media services without impacting monthly data allowances. The Viasat Ka-band business aviation IFC solution uses Viasat's Global Aero Terminal 5510, which taps into the ViaSat-1, ViaSat-2 and European Ka-band satellite platform, and is expected to be forward-compatible with Viasat's next-generation satellite systems.
ViaSat price target lowered to $60 from $70 at JPMorgan » 09:3405/2705/27/20
JPMorgan analyst Philip…
JPMorgan analyst Philip Cusick lowered the firm's price target on ViaSat to $60 from $70 and keeps an Overweight rating on the shares. The company reported "strong" fiscal Q4 results with consolidated adjusted EBITDA led by Satellite Services, Cusick tells investors in a research note. While the potential LEO constellation for Federally subsidized rural broadband got a lot of focus on call, this is overdone and isn't material near-term, says the analyst. Cusick does not expect the potential LEO constellation to impact ViaSat's path to free cash flow generation. In fact, he sees the LEO constellation as a potential driver of long-term revenue for Viasat.

ViaSat sees FY21 adjusted EBITDA up from FY20 » 16:1305/2605/26/20
The company said,…
The company said, "We remain focused on the ViaSat-3 satellite first flight, as well as advancing progress on the ViaSat-3 global constellation as a whole. We believe the value of our diverse, resilient business portfolio will be reinforced in FY21, with anticipated strength in residential and government sales; however, we expect continued IFC weakness resulting from the COVID-19 crisis will likely inhibit revenue growth in FY2021. We expect our broadband portfolio to remain attractive post crisis - and anticipate increasing demand for our broadband services, globally. We continue to see attractive domestic and global IFC opportunities, and will remain in active pursuit of critical airline wins. Cost reduction actions already taken in FY2020 should offset much, but not all, of margin impacts of anticipated IFC revenue weakness; current plans support Adjusted EBITDA growth for FY21. Our liquidity is expected to be solid, but moderating Adjusted EBITDA growth will likely result in net leverage near the higher end of our target range."
ViaSat reports Q4 non-GAAP EPS 32c, consensus (1c) » 16:1005/2605/26/20
Reports Q4 revenue…
Reports Q4 revenue $591.7M, consensus $591.77M. Reports Q4 sales backlog $1.871B. The company said, "Viasat's Q4 capped a successful year despite the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. We had a strong Q4 that allowed us to achieve corporate records for annual revenue and other important financial metrics. We were also recognized as a Fortune 1000 company for the first time. Of course, in the latter weeks of our fiscal Q4 we began to feel the impact of the pandemic like everyone else. As a result, in this letter we will spend a little less time on the way things were in Q4 FY2020 - and focus more on the way things are today, and what we are likely to encounter in the months ahead. It is our view that we can emerge even stronger when the crisis has passed."

ViaSat defense contract renewal positive for shares, says William Blair » 08:3505/2005/20/20
The U.S. Navy last night…
The U.S. Navy last night announced that it upsized and renewed ViaSat's Link 16 Navy ID/IQ contract vehicle, which is ViaSat's largest defense contract, William Blair analyst Louie DiPalma tells investors in a research note. The existing five-year $889.5M ID/IQ began in May 2015 and was set to end this month. The new ID/IQ has a $999M ceiling through May 2025. Assuming the $999M ceiling is achieved and the revenue is linear, the contract represents 8% of total revenue, says the analyst. He views the contract upsize and renewal as positive for ViaSat shares. DiPalma keeps a Market Perform rating on the name.
