Stock futures were deep in negative territory throughout the early session, leading to a sharply lower start for the market. The brewing trade war between the U.S. and China has global markets concerned and equity prices are showing it. There may not be much newsflow to help the market today, as economic calendar has little to offer and companies are beginning to enter their quiet periods ahead of the next earnings season. About an hour into trading, the Dow is down 195 points, the Nasdaq is down 25 points and the S&P is down 13 points.
