Stock futures improved during the early session in anticipation of the week's earnings reports and on the heels of a 4% overnight gain in the Chinese stock market. Chinese stock strength was attributed to hopes that the government will stimulate its economy via personal tax cuts and verbal support from President Xi also helped. Oil prices have reversed and are now trading lower by roughly 0.5% to fall back below $69 a barrel. In early trading, the Dow is up 26 points, the Nasdaq is up 44 points and the S&P is up 5 points.
