Futures point to continued selloff
2018-11-20 07:20:51
Stock futures are suggesting an extension of yesterday's selloff, with technology again leading the market lower. The dumping of the "FAANG" stocks, which had held up through several prior selloffs, may be a worrying sign about the status of the longest bull market run in history. Another sector which has undergone a major selloff is the housing sector as 30-year mortgage rates climbed to their highest level in seven years. Investors will see reports on the housing starts and building permits for October at 8:30 am ET; the lone economic data points scheduled for release today. In early pre-market trading, Dow futures are 157 points below fair value, Nasdaq futures are 56 points below fair value and S&P futures are 16 points below fair value.
