Stocks higher as U.S., China pick back up with trade talks

Stock futures were higher during the early session, leading to a positive start to the week for equities. The early strength is attributed to optimism surrounding the trade talks that have resumed with a U.S. delegation having traveled to Beijing. The early gains are broad, as each of the major indices is higher, led in the early going by the Nasdaq. About five minutes into trading, the S&P is up 10 points, the Dow is up 80 points and the Nasdaq is up 44 points.
