Broadcom, Symantec deal talks broke down over price, CNBC reports

Broadcom's (AVGO) talks to acquire Symantec (SYMC) broke down this weekend over price, CNBC's David Faber reports, citing sources. Symantec would not accept less than $28 per share, and Broadcom was unwilling to go that high, Faber explained. Shares of Symantec are down 18%, or $4.56, to $21.01 in premarket trading following the report. Broadcom is up 3% to $293.40. Reference Link
