2019-11-15 15:35:52 | T-Mobile CEO Legere not taking top job at WeWork, CNBC reportsT-Mobile (TMUS) Chief Executive Officer John Legere isn't taking the top job at WeWork, CNBC's Alex Sherman reports, citing people familiar with the matter. The Wall Street Journal reported earlier this week that Legere was in talks to become WeWork's next CEO. By taking himself out of the running, Legere is avoiding a potential conflict of interest, as SoftBank (SFTBY), the controlling shareholder of Sprint (S), which is the process of merging with T-Mobile, is the majority owner of WeWork, Sherman points out. SoftBank is interviewing several candidates to replace current WeWork co-CEOs Artie Minson and Sebastian Gunningham, he added, citing people familiar with the process. Shares of T-Mobile are up 3% to $78.92 following CNBC's report. Reference Link | |
