In the holiday shortened week the Russell 2000 (RUT) is set to end lower. At time of writing the index was at 1661.48, down sharply on the day. At that price support for the coming week will be in the range of 1650-1640. Resistance will be at 1670-1690. The worst performing sectors were Energy, Materials, Communications Services, Health Care, Consumer Staples, and the Industrials. The best performing sectors were Consumer Discretionary and Utilities.
