2021-06-11 14:48:55 | On The Fly: ETF fund flow highlightsFor the week creations in the top twenty ETFs by dollar volume exceeded redemptions by a factor of over 1.3 to 1, per data from ETF.com. On the creations side the majority of inflows were to S&P 500 products at over 40% with the majority of that going to SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) and Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO). The three other significant inflows were to the iShares MSCI Eurozone ETF (EZU), Vanguard Total Bond Market ETF (BND), and iShares U.S. Real Estate ETF (IYR). Those three funds comprised over 35% of inflows. On the redemptions side the outflow skew was heavily to bonds at over 44% of redemptions. Those funds included the iShares iBoxx USD High Yield Corporate Bond ETF (HYG), iShares iBoxx USD Investment Grade Corporate Bond ETF (LQD), SPDR Bloomberg Barclays High Yield Bond ETF (JNK), and PIMCO Enhanced Short Maturity Active ETF (MINT). The single largest outflow was from the iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV) at over 27% of redemptions. |
