On The Fly: Weekly technical notes for Russell 2000

The Russell 2000 (RUT) experienced the same type of hard drop in Monday's session as did the rest of the market. For the week, however, the index is set to end slightly higher. At the last price of 2253, resistance for the coming week will be in the range of 2260-2320. Support is at 2240-2180. Health Care, Energy, Technology, and the Financials were the best performing sectors. Utilities and Basic Materials were the weakest sectors.
