Disney's (DIS) "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" won this weekend’s North American box office again. The movie earned an estimated $135M for the five-day holiday for a 10-day North American cume of $361.8M. Overseas, "The Rise of Skywalker" remained atop the chart, grossing another $94.3M for a foreign total of $263M and $724.8M globally. The pic sports a B+ CinemaScore and a 57% Rotten Tomatoes rating.
BOX OFFICE RUNNERS-UP: Sony's (SNE) "Jumanji: The Next Level" came in number 2 with five-day earnings of $59M for a domestic cume of $175.5M. Behind it was Disney's "Frozen II," grossing $16M for the five days to pass up the first "Frozen" domestically and finish Sunday with a North American total of $420M. Sony's "Little Women" placed number four with a five-day debut of $29M. Rounding out the top five, the Fox and Disney release "Spies in Disguise" posted a five-day debut of $22.1M.
