Taco Bell has begun testing its own meat alternative with its Cravetarian Taco, which features a meat substitute made from a blend of peas and chickpeas, CNBC's Amelia Lucas reports. In January, the Yum Brands (YUM) chain had announced that it would test a Beyond Meat (BYND) alternative this year, but first, customers will be able to try this vegetarian version of the Crunchy Taco Supreme, the author notes.
