Piper Sandler analyst Brent Bracelin expects 2020 will be another year of "robust" digital investments into cloud, automation and artificial intelligence software, which he thinks bodes well for enterprise software-as-a-service and infrastructure-as-a-service pure-plays. He sees the cloud software industry topping $210B on 28% growth this year with growth potential to $1 trillion exiting this decade. The analyst's top give SaaS ideas to own for 2020 are Adobe (ADBE), Salesforce (CRM), HubSpot (HUBS), Twilio (TWLO) and Avalara (AVLR). His top five SaaS stocks to own for this decade "with multi-billion potential" are MongoDB (MDB), Anaplan (PLAN), Avalara, Twilio and Coupa Software (COUP).

Loop Capital analyst Yun Kim upgraded Anaplan to Hold from Sell with a price target of $58, up from $40. Stifel analyst J. Parker Lane raised the firm's price target on HubSpot to $600 from $565 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares after speaking with multiple partners in the HubSpot ecosystem ahead of the company's Q2 earnings report. His partner and customer checks make it clear that "HubSpot continues to be one of the dominant players in the CRM and marketing space for small and medium-sized businesses," said Lane, whose Q2 revenue estimate of $297M is about the consensus forecast near $295M.
