Starbucks' (SBUX) push to get customers to use its mobile ordering app to skip lines may face challenges as saving time is not high on customers' priority lists and some customers have cut down on mobile ordering after noticing how much they spend, Reuters reports, citing interviews with over two dozen customers. CEO Kevin Johnson is expected to outline the company's strategy for balancing the chain's "customer connection" with the push to speed up ordering at its annual meeting, which could be instructive for other restaurants like McDonald's (MCD) and Dunkin Donuts (DNKN) that followed the coffee chain into mobile ordering.
