Baird analyst David Manthey reiterated a Neutral rating and $75 price target on Stericycle (SRCL), saying he believes a more gradual increase in customer churn is an important measure of operational progress at the company, given the enormous amount of attention paid to Square's (SQ) pricing in recent years. Manthey estimates that churn increased by the lowest level in five years in 2019, based on Stericycle's customer useful life disclosures, and he specifically estimates that customer churn currently stands at 11.8%. The analyst, who noted that 2019's churn growth was 90 basis points, said that stabilizing customer churn is also consistently with fourth quarter RWCS growth of 2% and that, bigger picture, he is increasingly confident in Stericycle's ongoing strategic changes.
