Bernstein analyst A.M. Sacconaghi, Jr. notes that Tesla is scheduled to unveil its electric semi-truck on November 16 at a debut event in Hawthorne, California. The analyst believes Tesla will announce a Class 8 semi-truck with 300-450 miles of range, and will target availability in mid-2019. He sees the Tesla Semi's range as a significant constraint, given that long-haul trucks drive up to 500-600 miles per day, and believes the addressable market for the initial truck might less than half of the total semi-truck market. Sacconaghi, Jr. reiterates a Market Perform rating and $265 price target on the shares.
