Stephens analyst Brett Huff said he remains bullish on Visa after hosting meetings and conference calls with management this week, stating that he is impressed with the large and incremental volume opportunities he thinks are ahead in areas including tokenization, contactless, B2B, developing countries, and Visa Europe. He also is still convinced that Visa can largely defend its market position, Huff tells investors. He keeps an Overweight rating and $173 price target on Visa shares.

BofA Merrill analyst Jason Kupferberg raised his price target for Visa (V) to $192 from $177, saying he continues to have a preference for the Buy-rated Visa over Neutral-rated Mastercard (MA), whose price target he also upped to $267 from $255. In a research note to investors, the analyst says MasterCard trades at nearly a 10% premium to Visa, and thinks this gap will narrow with the potential for the networks to trade at parity, and thinks Visa still has synergies remaining from Visa Europe.
