As previously reported, Benchmark analyst Kevin Sterling initiated coverage of XPO Logistics with a Buy rating and $120 price target. His "simple" thesis is "bet on the jockey" as he thinks the time is right to own the stock before current Chairman and CEO Brad Jacobs makes his next move to create additional shareholder value. If Jacobs begins to sell parts of the company, "tremendous value could be unlocked" and if Jacobs does not sell or spin off any business lines, Sterling thinks XPO is well positioned to capitalize on some interesting industry dynamics, the analyst tells investors.
