Jefferies analyst Lloyd Byrne raised the firm's price target on Baker Hughes to $46 from $45 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares. The firm anticipates continued execution from the company in Q2, also noting that Baker Hughes remains on track to achieve the targeted 20% EBITDA margin for its Oilfield Service & Equipment / and Industrial & Energy Technology segments by FY25/FY26, the analyst tells investors in a research note. Jefferies adds that it expects consensus estimates on Baker Hughes to catch up on the company's margin expectations over the upcoming quarters.

Baker Hughes reports that the U.S. rig count is down 4 from last week to 576 with oil rigs down 6 to 472, gas rigs up 1 to 99 and miscellaneous rigs up 1 to 5. The U.S. Rig Count is down 45 rigs from last year's count of 621 with oil rigs down 27, gas rigs down 20 and miscellaneous up 2. The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is unchanged at 14, down 5 year-over-year. The Canada Rig Count is up 16 from last week to 245, with oil rigs up 18 to 174, gas rigs down 2 to 71 and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 0. The Canada Rig Count is up 15 rigs from last year's count of 230 with oil rigs up 30, gas rigs down 15 and miscellaneous rigs unchanged.
