Deutsche Bank presents path to $75 per share for Cisco Systems
Deutsche Bank analyst Vijay Bhagavath is out with a research note highlighting a "Bull Case View" on Cisco Systems, which presents a "line of sight" to $75 per share. The assumptions include a 16 times enterprise value to free cash flow multiple on his $4.55 fiscal 2021 free cash flow per share scenario. The analyst's bull case for fiscal 2021 calls for a 7% sales growth scenario at 65% gross margin, 35% operating margin, and low-teens free cash flow growth. Arista higher after William Blair uncovers 'game-changing' Pentagon win
William Blair analyst Jason Ader says he recently learned from a federal value-added reseller contact that Arista Networks (ANET) has won a multiyear award with the Department of Defense for the unclassified piece of the Pentagon network, which encompasses 80,000 ports across multiple facilities. Shares of Arista Networks are up 3%, or $7.13, to $229.50 in premarket trading. The analyst's contact estimates the size of the contract at roughly $100M over multiple years, shared among Arista, Aruba, and the VAR. The contract win was a competitive displacement of Cisco Systems (CSCO), and includes Arista for core switching and routing, and Aruba for edge switching, Ader tells investors in a research note. He points out that the award is currently under protest by Cisco. While the deal by itself "should be a needle-mover" for Arista, it also represents a "game-changing development for the company in the U.S. federal vertical, where it has had very limited penetration historically," Ader contends. He believes the win "could open many new doors in the future" for Arista, both in Department of Defense and other government agencies. Ader reiterates an Outperform rating on Arista.

In light of the trade-war overhang and potential softening China macro, Vipshop will likely shift its strategy to focus mainly on discount overstock merchandise as well as servicing a broader group of smaller merchants, Yap tells investors in a research note. The analyst struggles to find visibility on near-term growth reacceleration and sees no chance of a recapitalization option to unlock company value.

Barclays initiates coverage of U.S. payment processors with PayPal as top pick
As noted earlier, Barclays analyst Ramsey El-Assal initiated a group of 20 U.S. companies in the Payments, Processing, and related IT Services sector with Overweight-rated PayPal (PYPL) as his Top Pick. The analyst cites the company's "100% exposure to high-growth digital channels" along with its "clean balance sheet substantial cash position" that bring it a "strategic opportunity. El-Assal is also particularly positive on Overweight-rated WorldPay (WP) based on its strong growth potential from its exposure to "tech-enabled channels" and merger synergies, FirstData (FDC) based on the accelerating growth of its merchant channels, and Square (SQ)," whose Subscription & Services segment is blurring the lines between Payments and software". The analyst contends that the extent of being "tech-enabled" is a key differentiator in the Payments industry, assigning an Overweight rating to Alliance Data Systems (ADS), ADP (ADP), Cardtronics (CATM), Fidelity National (FIS), First Data (FDC), Fiserv (FISV), Fleetcor Technologies (FLT), Global Payments (GPN), Green Dot (GDOT), Mastercard (MA), Total System Services (TSS), Visa (V), and WEX Inc (WEX). El-Assal assigns Equal-weight ratings to EVO Payments (EVOP) and Paychex (PAYX), stating that while the companies are "solid performers" in the space, their valuation is seen as more balanced. The analyst rates MoneyGram (MGI) and Western Union (WU) at Underweight, saying that the former will struggle to re-ignite positive growth as the costs associated with regulatory scrutiny weigh on its profits and the latter will be challenged by "periodic pricing pressure eroding margins over a long period of time."

Checks point to continued momentum at NetApp, Pure Storage, says Stifel
Stifel analyst Matthew Sheerin said his checks with storage-focused value-added-resellers pointed to continued strong external storage sales momentum in the September quarter, adding that he is expecting relatively strong results for NetApp (NTAP) and Pure Storage (PSTG), which he believes are both market share gainers. Though positively biased on fundamentals for both stocks, he continues to favor NetApp, Sheerin tells investors. He maintains a Buy rating on NetApp and a Hold rating on Pure Storage.

Helius Medical downgraded to Neutral at BTIG on delay in PNS clearance
As reported, BTIG analyst Sean Lavin downgraded Helius Medical to Neutral from Buy citing yesterday's announced delay in filing for the FDA clearance of its Portable Neuromodulation Stimulator investigational medical device in Q3 rather than Q2. The analyst notes that the delay raises the risk of the company running out of cash before clearance and may force it to raise more capital, putting the spotlight on the management's credibility. Lavin adds that given the rise in the stock price to his prior target of $14, a Neutral rating is "more appropriate".

Helius Medical initiated with a Buy at BTIG
BTIG analyst Sean Lavin initiated Helius Medical with a Buy rating and a price target of $14, saying the company's offerings have the "potential to help people with traumatic brain injuries to regain normal function, balance, and the ability to walk." Lavin adds that Helius Medical's Portable Neuromodulation Stimulator is shown to produce "significant improvement in balance and function" in patients, who have "no other good options", expecting the company to target workers' comp, the military, and normal medical insurers. He also expects the investment story to result in positive public sentiment, driving adoption and reimbursement. The analyst does note some risks for the company, including its recently missed primary efficacy endpoint. which could prompt the FDA to ask for more data. as well as the company's impending capital needs.

Walmart, MoneyGram new service adds mote uncertainty to Euronet story, says William Blair
William Blair analyst Christopher Shutler notes that Walmart (WMT) and MoneyGram (MGI) announced a new service called "Walmart2World," which allows customers at U.S. Walmart locations to send money to any MoneyGram location in 200 countries. The analyst views this as a re-branding of an existing service, but with new pricing and in some cases maybe faster transfer times. While Shutler is not sure if Euronet (EEFT) formally bid on this business, the biggest issue he sees for the latter's stock is that this agreement shows a willingness on MoneyGram's part to play ball with Walmart on white-labeled products. The news arguably adds a little more uncertainty to the Euronet story, he contends.

Casi Pharmaceuticals price target raised to $4.50 from $2 at H.C. Wainwright
H.C. Wainwright analyst Swayampakula Ramakanth raised his price target for Casi Pharmaceuticals to $4.50 saying changes to Chinese regulations could lead to approvals in 2018. Under China's new regulations, if a drug is already marketed overseas, it could directly apply for conditional approval without the need for a clinical study, Ramakanth tells investors in a research note. He notes that management confirmed to him that all three of the company's licensed oncology products, Evomela, Marqibo, and Zevalin, fall under this category. The analyst keeps a Buy rating on Casi.
