Criteo upgraded to Buy at SunTrust on 'manageable' Chrome changes
As previously reported, SunTrust analyst Matthew Thornton upgraded Criteo (CRTO) to Buy from Hold as he sees the new data privacy developments in Google's (GOOG) Chrome look manageable, reducing the "major overhang" to the stock. Further, the analyst believes valuation is "compelling," and buybacks could provide a tailwind. Thornton also raised his price target on Criteo's shares to $25 from $24.

Criteo price target lowered to $21 from $26 at BMO Capital
BMO Capital analyst Daniel Salmon lowered his price target on Criteo to $21 from $26 and kept his Market Perform rating, saying the company's near-term fundamental outlook has continued to deteriorate over the past few months. The analyst cites issues with its go-to-market strategy for non-retargeting products as well as "demand generation within its mid-market business." Salmon contends that Criteo valuation is attractive, but he needs better visibility on sales force reorganization and regulatory issues.

Twitter shares likely range bound in near-term, says Rosenblatt
Tougher compares in the second half of 2019 coupled with discontinued product revenue losses sets up a range bound stock performance for Twitter in the near-term, Rosenblatt analyst Mark Zgutowicz tells investors in a research note. The analyst expects Twitter's U.S. daily active user growth to "remain in the shadows" of its "higher but much less profitable" international growth. He also awaits a "more timely" Direct Response strategy and "tangible platform utilities" that correlate to sustainable new engagement growth. Zgutowicz raised his price target for Twitter to $40 from $38 and reiterates a Neutral rating on the shares.

Twitter 2019 estimates raised on favorable trends at Cleveland Research
Cleveland Research analyst Chandler Converse increased his 2019 revenue estimates for Twitter to reflect incremental test spend, partner investments, and favorable market share trends. The analyst also boosted his Q3 revenue estimate to the high-end of guidance on strength in branding. Converse, who keeps a Neutral rating on the shares due to longer term growth concerns, says his research suggests Twitter's pitch to advertisers continues to resonate and drive additional advertising spend.

Circor (CIR) upgraded to Overweight from Sector Weight at KeyBanc analyst Jeffrey Hammond saying he sees a wide range of potential outcomes that generally support a higher stock price, including arriving at 2020 targets, or equivalent figures net of divestitures, divesting the Energy business to accelerate deleveraging and refocus the portfolio around less volatile Industrial and Aero assets, or falling short of targets and/or failing to monetize the Energy assets, commencing a change of leadership and/or renewed takeout chatter. 5. Snap upgraded to Buy from Neutral at Guggenheim
Guggenheim analyst Michael Morris upgraded Snap to Buy from Neutral with a price target of $22. The stock closed Monday up 8c to $17.12. The company is well positioned to outperform the Internet and Media space through year end and provide an investor return of nearly 30% over the next 12 months, Morris tells investors in a research note. He believes the combination of "strong" usage trends, "industry-leading" access to 18-34 year-old users, and platform improvements should drive growth in Snap's advertiser demand. Further, the analyst says Snap's long-term revenue potential is the most underappreciated in his coverage universe. This should support a sustained premium valuation multiple, argues Morris.

Susquehanna upgrades Snap to Neutral after positive advertising checks
Susquehanna analyst Shyam Patil upgraded Snap (SNAP) to Neutral from Negative and boosted his price target for the shares to $18 from $12. The stock closed Monday down 24c to $15.76. The analyst's recent advertising channel checks have suggested that Snap's "solid" growth has continued in Q3 with expectations for continued progress in Q4. The checks also show that Facebook's (FB) Instagram Stories "has lowered barriers" for SNAP Stories adoption, Patil tells investors in a research note. The analyst, who also expect Snap's net addition momentum to continue in the second half of 2019, says the stock's valuation is keeping him from getting even more constructive.

Inphi shipments to Google and Amazon 'remain strong,' says JPMorgan
JPMorgan analyst Harlan Sur says his recent research efforts indicate that Inphi's (IPHI) 200G/400G PAM4 shipments to key hyperscale datacenter customers Google (GOOG, GOOGL) and Amazon (AMZN), system manufacturers and module customers "remain strong." The company remains on track to drive "significantly more" than $80M in PAM4 revenues this year, Sur tells investors in a research note. As such, the analyst says his "strong" second half of 2019 and 2020 outlook remain intact for Inphi. The company continues to be the analyst's top small-cap pick with an Overweight rating.

Light demand for Inphi's 400G in second half not a change, says Rosenblatt
Rosenblatt analyst Hans Mosesmann noted that Inphi (IPHI) shares were down as much as 10.8% yesterday, which he attributes to a competitor firm's call that its PAM4 business at Amazon (AMZN) for 400G is in jeopardy. However, he believes both Amazon and Google (GOOGL) drove the 400G supply chains hard for a big second half ramp, and then backed off by June, and he does not see this as a recent change. Though existing 400G PAM4 inventory build-up at Innolight could delay Inphi's 400G demand picking back up until late in the first quarter of 2020, Mosesmann said he believes Inphi is on track to hit its target of $160M in sales for PAM4 solutions in 2020.

The analyst believes however that some of Google Maps' product changes indicate a series of "growing monetization opportunities," citing its competitive moat of over 80% navigation app market share, recent updates to Local Campaigns including "new attractive ad formats for Maps", and data collection through Waze that will offer more solutions for advertisers.

Guggenheim sees no evidence of Facebook Dating hurting Match's Tinder
Facebook (FB) Dating is now live in 20 countries and Guggenheim analyst Jake Fuller, in a research note earlier to investors, said he cannot find an example where Match Group's Tinder "took a hit." Further, the analyst points out that Facebook Dating has been live in Canada since November 2018 and that his firm's data shows Tinder daily active users up 45% and downloads up 51% since the launch. Strong" Tinder downloads yield the potential for upside to consensus estimates when Match reports Q3 results, the analyst writes. Despite the launch of Facebook Dating in the U.S., the analyst says his perspective on Match is improving. Nonetheless, Fuller kept a Neutral rating on shares of Match Group, whose stock is down 10c to $77.86 in morning trading.

Facebook dating survey suggests potential risk for Match Group, says Oppenheimer
Oppenheimer analyst Jason Helfstein surveyed 440 singles to gauge early response to Facebook (FB) Dating, and results highlighted that 40% of respondents were aware of the Facebook Dating product within 48 hours of initial launch in the U.S. Conversion of "aware" users was 15%, and the analyst expects awareness to grow significantly, yielding double digit penetration if the conversion ratio holds. Survey results point to a younger than expected user base, putting Facebook Dating in direct competition with Tinder, he contends. While historical download-data of initial Facebook Dating points to minimal Tinder impact, Helfstein notes that survey results make a compelling argument for near-term headwinds to Match Group (MTCH) shares, coupled with adverse short-term effects from a potential spin of. The analyst has a Perform rating on Match Group's shares.

Match selloff on Facebook Dating launch a buying opportunity, says SunTrust
SunTrust analyst Youssef Squali views the selloff today in shares of Match Group (MTCH) on Facebook's (FB) launch of Facebook Dating as a buying opportunity. Match's portfolio approach of brands, the "under-penetration" of the category in most markets served, and its leadership position in most markets should allow it to continue to show "healthy growth" with relatively limited impact from Facebook's dating product, Squali tells investors in a research note. Further, he believes "some negative reputational overhang" from the last couple years may prevent mass adoption of Facebook's service. In addition, Facebook's dating feature could potentially attract an older demographic than seen on Match's fastest growing brands such as Tinder and Hinge, says Squali. The analyst maintains a Buy rating on Match Group, whose stock is down 6% to $80.31 in midday trading.
