JPMorgan survey 'broadly positive' on Eli Lilly Alzheimer's drug

JPMorgan analyst Chris Schott says his survey of 25 U.S. physicians who are familiar with treating and/or studying Alzheimer's pointed to "broadly positive" takeaways on Eli Lilly's donanemab. Survey physicians see a "clear role" for any treatment that can provide some level of treatment benefit, even if modest, due to the high level of unmet patient need in the Alzheimer's setting and no currently available treatment alternatives, Schott tells investors in a research note. Based on the survey results, the analyst does not believe Lilly's planned shift to iADRS as a primary endpoint will represent a point of controversy. With expectations on donanemab reset post the o TRAILBLAZER results, Schott sees a "very attractive upside/downside on the product." He keeps an Overweight rating on Eli Lilly shares with a $240 price target.
