Book value per share was $14.68 per share at March 31, 2020 compared to $14.06 per share at December 31, 2019. The Company continues to maintain strong capital ratios. At March 31, 2020 the Leverage ratio was 9.4% compared to 9.2% at December 31, 2019; the Tier 1 Risk-Based Capital ratio was 15.3% compared to 14.8% at December 31, 2019; and the Total Risk-Based Capital ratio was 16.6% compared to 15.9% at December 31, 2019.

At December 31, 2019, the Leverage ratio was 9.2% compared to 8.9% at December 31, 2018; the Tier 1 Risk-Based Capital ratio was 14.8% compared to 16.1% at December 31, 2018; and the Total Risk-Based Capital ratio was 15.9% compared to 17.3% at December 31, 2018. Tangible book value per share was $11.29 at December 31, 2019 compared to $9.97 at December 31, 2018. Book value per share was $14.06 per share at December 31, 2019 compared to $12.75 per share at December 31, 2018.

American River Bankshares announced its third quarter cash dividend of 7c per share payable on August 14, 2019 to shareholders of record on July 31, 2019. The 7c per share is a 2c or 40% increase over the second quarter 2019 cash dividend of 5c per share that was announced on April 18, 2019. The cash dividend is the third quarterly cash dividend of 2019 and represents the eleventh cash dividend since the quarterly program was reinstated in January of 2017, the company said in a statement.
