Motorola Solutions announced that Malta Police Force has deployed Motorola Solutions' VB400 body-worn cameras to all frontline officers across the Republic of Malta. The roll out is part of Malta Police Force's transformation strategy which aims to modernize the police force while increasing trust and transparency with the community. The five-year service contract for the comprehensive video solution includes evidence management software to process captured video footage securely and the new Holster Aware feature which allows the camera to automatically start recording if a weapon is unholstered.

The collaboration follows last year's announcement of Motorola Solutions' Private Broadband for Critical Infrastructure platform, and the FCC's Report & Order enabling the transitioning of the 900 MHz band to broadband. Motorola Solutions is also a charter member of the recently established Anterix Active Ecosystem Program that brings together technology innovators to support Anterix customers deploying and operating private LTE on 900 MHz.

Motorola Solutions announced that the company has signed a four-year single supplier framework agreement with BlueLight Commercial to deploy integrated 4RE In-Car Video Solutions to all emergency services in the U.K. including police, highways agencies, border security and the U.K. Home Office. The deployment of In-Car Technology is part of the National Police Chiefs Council's Roads Policing Strategy to improve road safety and security, as well as efficiency. The contract is the first to be led by BlueLight Commercial and is immediately available for emergency services to order in-car video technology.
