Needham analyst Mayank Tandon raised the firm's price target on OppFi to $3.50 from $2.50 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares. The company's Q1 results were above expectations on top and bottom line amid improving credit performance and lower expenses, primarily on the marketing front, the analyst tells investors in a research note. While credit environment is expected to remain challenging in the near term, Needham is "encouraged" with OppFi's strong start to FY23.

First payment default and the total delinquency rates have continued to improve in the first quarter of 2023. As a result, we expect adjusted net income to rebound significantly this year, as demonstrated by our full-year guidance."
