Stock futures are slightly higher as the final trading day of a volatile week gets set to begin. Barring a strong Friday rally, stocks are on pace to drop for the second week in the past three. Investors will be watching the housing starts and building permits reports, industrial production and capacity utilization data, and the University of Michigan consumer confidence reading. In early pre-market trading, Dow futures are 6 points above fair value, Nasdaq futures are 13 points above fair value and S&P futures are 4 points above fair value.
