Futures lower ahead of inflation report

Stock futures are indicating a lower open ahead of the release of a few key data points. Investors will be watching the consumer prices report that will be released at 8:30 am ET as it is a key inflation measure. Oil prices are higher in early trading as the commodity is now enjoying its longest winning streak since 2010. The price of crude is now just below $53 a barrel after trading below $44 a little more than a week ago. In early pre-market trading, Dow futures are 37 points below fair value, Nasdaq futures are 23 points below fair value and S&P futures are 6 points below fair value.
