On The Fly: Weekly technical notes for Russell 2000

The Russell 2000 (RUT) far outpaced its big and megacap brethren this week, moving up over 80 points. This remarkable rebound has put price just below the all important 1600 level. A breakout there would break resistance which has been in place for the whole year-to-date. Such a long-run resistance breakout technically could see price head back to the 1625-1640 band, another layer of resistance last seen in 2018, Support for the coming week is at 1560-1550.
