DOJ opens criminal probe of J&J baby powder risk denials, Bloomberg reports

The Department of Justice Department is pursuing a criminal investigation into whether Johnson & Johnson lied to the public about the possible cancer risks of its talcum powder, Jef Feeley of Bloomberg reports, citing people with knowledge of the matter. A grand jury in Washington is examining documents related to what company officials knew about any carcinogens in their products, sources told Bloomberg. Shares of Johnson & Johnson are down 4% to $134.90 in midday trading.
